On April 24, 2009 the Board of Trustees and the administration of DCU had a planned meeting with one another. The agenda of this gathering included the following items: analysis of the work of DCU for last year, planning for future development of the university, planning the budget for next year, and so forth.

As a continuation of the discussion about the future of theological education in Ukraine representatives of theological institutions and those responsible for education in the All Ukranian Union of Associations of Evangelical Christian Baptists (AUC ECB) met on April 23, 2009 in Kiev for the second time. Several members of DCU staff were also present at this gathering.
Preparing for the “One Lord! One People! One Faith!” Conference

On April 15, 2009 Donetsk Christian University held a meeting of local Church leaders and DCU representatives who are the members of Preparation Committee for the “One Lord! One People! One Faith!” Conference. This conference is going to take place in the Palace of Sports “Druzhba” in Donetsk in May 2009.
One of the expected speakers of this gathering is Alexandr Shevchenko, pastor of the House of Bread Church (Roseville, CA, the U.S.A.) and president of the “Ugol” mission (the U.S.A.). The purpose of the conference is to draw young Christians’ attention to the necessity of devoted and qualitative ministry to the Lord and His Church.
We anticipate that all the preparations will be realized in time with God’s blessing and with complete and mutual understanding of the organizers and participants.

Recently, on April 14, 2009 the DCU administration had a meeting with some pastors of the Donetsk region. The agenda for this gathering was to dialog on opportunities for the future partnership of our theological university with local Churches.

On April 13th and 14th, 2009 the Odessa Theological Seminary held a seminar “The Holistic Development of a Child”. Attending this seminar were members of local Odessa churches, representatives of international missions working with Ukrainian children, and Olga Zaitseva, DCU Instructor. It was the first conference where the problems of children's development and prevention of alcohol and drug addiction, sexual relations before marriage, vagrancy, and social orphan-hood of children were raised.
